Colonic Irrigation, also known as Colon Hydrotherapy or a Colonic is a way of cleansing the colon that is, easy, hygienic, very safe, popular and beneficial.
Colonic Irrigation (Colon Hydrotherapy) may help clients with the following-
- Allergies and food intollerance
- Bad breath
- Bloating
- Constipation and or diarrhea
- Clients wishing to detoxify
- Flatulence
- Headaches from toxicity
- Help with many medical conditions
- Improving bowel function
- Improve energy levels

- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Lift mood and encourage a feeling of well being

The treatment exercises and tones the bowel and helps the body get rid of waste both during and after treatment. This reduces the toxic load on the body. These toxins can make people feel unwell, have headaches, feel sluggish and make other health conditions worse.
As the name suggests the treatment involves introducing warm filtered water gradually into the colon. The treatment is not meant to be painfully and a towel is used during the treatment to preserve modesty.
During the treatment advice about diet and nutrition is often given. Herbs and supplements will be advised when necessary.
Treatment times vary but from start to finish 1 and 1/4 hours is allocated. This involves time for a consultation as well as the treatment (30-45 mins approx). The number of treatments that a client will be advised to have will depend on the individual and how the first treatment goes.
I trained in Colon Hydrotherapy with the National College of Colon Hydrotherapy and am a member of Association and Register of Colon Hydrotherapists (A.R.C.H).
